Lunch at Joey’s Wynwood

Delicious leftovers from Joey’s Wynwood.

Yesterday, I had lunch with an old friend I hadn’t seen in several years. We laughed like we had seen each other last week which, to me, is a clear sign of true friendship. We met at Joey’s Wynwood which is a favorite of mine in Miami. Here there are so many amazing pie combos to chose from so we treated ourselves to two. One was the Parma e Funghi, with Pomodoro, Mozzarella, Prosciutto Crudo & Mushrooms which was excellent. But the Dolce e Piccante with Figs, Gorgonzola Cheese, Honey & Hot Peppers was the clear winner in my book and probably the sweetest and richest of their pies. Just my style. If you’re going off the diet, indulge. Mmm, my mouth just watered again. These leftovers, I actually wanted to take home. Don’t miss Joey’s when in Miami which was named “Best Pizza in Miami” by Haute Living.
