Request Hold Mail
Leaving town for more than a couple of days? Request Hold Mail through your local post office and they will hold your mail until you return. Better yet, schedule the mail to be dropped off by the mailman the day after you get back so you don’t arrive home to a mound of mail. This can all be easily done online at USPS.com up to the very last minute (2 a.m. on the day you leave to be exact). Nothing says “nobody’s home” more than an overflowing mailbox.
