Find a great travel advisor and every vacation will be unforgettable. As Matthew Upchurch, CEO of Virtuoso Travel Network, recently said on the Today Show, “How is it that we actually have financial advisors to manage money but we actually don’t have somebody in our lives to help us manage our most valuable thing? Our free time and our time with our loved ones?”

Before your next trip, ask friends and family (the ones who travel in the same style you do) if they have an amazing travel advisor they would suggest. Then once you have a list of a few, start interviewing them to see who you like best, who listens the best, and who is part of a network of advisors and therefore has access to other advisors’ expertise. Having a travel advisor guide you on where to stay, eat, and what to do in each city will only increase your chances of experiencing the best of the best…and in case you have an emergency and need to get home ASAP, they’ll help you with that too.
