Travel Tip: More Water
We’ve all heard the “8 x 8 rule” (drink eight 8 oz glasses a day) but how many of us really follow it? Even mild dehydration can drain your energy and make you tired and on long flights, it’s pretty much guaranteed. This is because the air in the airline cabin is so much dryer than air we normally breathe. We are used to at least 50% humidity on the ground. But in the tight cabin quarters mid-air it can fall to as low as 1% humidity on longer flights. To help prevent dehydration, start drinking more water (think 64 oz.) the day before your flight. This will prepare your body for what you’ll be breathing the next day. Also, to maintain hydration on board, keep chugging that agua & save the cocktails and coffee for your final destination. Besides, all that water will only help flush out any germs you may pick up along the way. To protect your skin, bring a facial atomizer along for the ride. It keeps skin from drying out, relaxes, refreshes, and even sets your make-up. We love the Evian Facial Spray Trio and we know after one spritz, you will too. So, water up and you’ll feel good as new as you touch down.
